Browser support
LWC supports the latest stable Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari. Internet Explorer is not supported.
The four desktop browsers
Lightning web components support the same browsers as Lightning Experience. Salesforce supports the latest stable Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, and Apple Safari.
The browser vendor decides what latest means. Keep the browser updated. An older build of a supported browser is outside that promise.
Internet Explorer
Internet Explorer is not a supported browser. Salesforce ended support for Internet Explorer 11 on 1 January 2023. After Winter '24, Internet Explorer 11 cannot open Lightning Experience.
Internet Explorer mode in Microsoft Edge is not supported either. Use the Chromium version of Edge.
Check the list when it matters
Phones and iPad Safari have their own rules on the supported-browsers page. This guide does not draw a chart of browser versions.
If a component misbehaves, open it in a current desktop browser before you treat the bug as yours.
